Swiss Military Division Pin

I acquired this pin a number of years ago at a second-hand store, and have been able to find very little information on it. Has anyone here ever seen one of these before, and have any information about them?

Maybe it has something to to do with the Swiss National Redoubt???? DEFILE as in a narrow passage as between hills, rocks, or cliffs. A commemorative badge for service there?????
