jfo137 Posted April 23, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2020 Hello, I was hoping someone can give me some information about the cloth wings below. I took a chance and paid 1 US dollar fore them. I could find any google reference about them. Are they WWii era and what do they designate? Thank you for any information!
Solution Allan H. Posted April 23, 2020 Solution Share #2 Posted April 23, 2020 This is a brevet of the Royal Canadian Air Force. It is decidedly post WWII vintage as RAF and commonwealth wings converted from the King's Crown to the Queen's crown in 1953. This particular badge represents Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator. The accompanying image of wings came from the Canadian Government website: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/defence/caf/military-identity-system/dress-manual/chapter-3/section-3.html I would estimate that it is less than 20 years old, but I don't think you got hurt at a buck.
