Bob Hudson Posted May 25, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2020 This is a video I did with the nephew of the officier who brought these back to the US from occupied Japan. They are models of: Battleship IJN Fuso, Heavy Cruiser IJN Maya and Submarine IJN I55 These came from the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy at Etajima. They are crude, but interesting. The owner wanted it to maybe go back to Japan, but I checked, and Japan didn't want it.
Proud Kraut Posted May 25, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 25, 2020 Very cool. I think these ships are in rather good shape after at least 75 years. Thanks for sharing!
ArtyScout Posted May 26, 2020 Share #3 Posted May 26, 2020 The IJNA at Etajima might now want them back, but they ARE part of their Naval history. Hold on to them. You never know when somebody might be interested in them. Semper Fi. Manny
