POFmilitaria Posted June 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2020 I was finally able to get my hands on my first Japanese helmet! Just thought I'd share! Jacob
Fortunes Of War Posted June 30, 2020 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2020 Nice looking helmet with what appears to be uncut tie strings. It looks as though the painted kanji characters for the name have been removed and I don't see the painted size character (Large or Small) that is normally found on the rear flange. Can you see the size there anywhere? Were you able to lift the front liner pad in order to read the Showa date? Thanks for posting. Mike
POFmilitaria Posted July 1, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted July 1, 2020 I can't find a size anywhere. There is a stamp under one of the liner pads but it feels too fragile to pull back all of the way. Jacob
Fortunes Of War Posted July 1, 2020 Share #4 Posted July 1, 2020 Hey, I totally understand about trying to lift the liner pad. I have seen the leather tear sometimes when an owner tries to lift that, in search of the Showa date stamp. In any case, a very nice looking Type-90 helmet. Thanks for posting.
