Gents,

The Technische Nothilfe (TENO) was the Technical Emergency Corps that began service in 1919 and continued throughout the war.  It received legal state status in 1939 and paid officers served alongside technical volunteers.  The TENO (TN) was absorbed by the Ordnungspolizei and became the engineer section of the Order Police.  The TENO was kept busy during the war digging out after air raids and re-establishing essential services such as gas and electric services.

The service uniform for TENO members was a herringbone twill (HBT) fatigue tunic and trousers of the style that was issued to the Wehrmacht and Polizei for fatigue duty.  These fatigue uniforms came in both blue and green colors over the years.
