I mainly collect US militaria and cannot identify these foreign patches. I believe some or most are British. Can anyone identify these patches and what era they each are from? I’ve been told the lion on the yellow shield is German (Flemish SS Volunteers) and is a reproduction, but I don’t know anything about the rest. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for the info!

I think #1 may actually be American (Texas A & M ROTC).

As for the British patches (#3,4,6), does anybody know what they are for and when they date from? I believe #7 is a 1st Anti-Aircraft Division Patch from WWII.

  • 1 year later...

The aircraft silhouette with the red line through it is indeed the divisional insignia of the 1st Anti-Aircraft Division. The insignia is upside down in the posted photograph. They were formed 15DEC1935 and defended London during the Blitz; they were disbanded 01OCT1942 when the Anti-Aircraft formations were restructured into AA Groups.
