Scarecrow Posted August 15, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 15, 2020 Recent acquisition. China National Aviation Corporation uniform and cap lot. CNAC was a passenger and mail airline owned 55% by the Nationalist Chinese government and 45% by Pan Am. During WWII it was pressed into service as a cargo airline flying vital supplies over the "Hump" from India to China. 16 of the original Flying Tigers joined and flew for CNAC when the AVG was disbanded in July 1942. Jacket was tailor made in Karachi and the cap in Calcutta. The Chinese symbol that CNAC adopted for its aircraft and insignia is called "The Chung". Hsin C. Posted August 26, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2020 Very nice items. You don't see these things often. A friend sent a wing to my house a while back to help ship it to him, as the seller didn't ship internationally. Similar to yours, bullion wings, but all metal center.
