Tonomachi Posted September 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2020 I found both of these medals at the flea market this morning. The first one is boxed, with a hand engraved name of Adam Wartmann and looks German. It is dated 1857 and I have no idea what this is.
Tonomachi Posted September 26, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted September 26, 2020 The second medal looks like maybe a commemorative medal for the Imperial German 13th Infantry Regiment. I was wondering if there was a ribbon and was this worn on a uniform?
Proud Kraut Posted September 27, 2020 Share #3 Posted September 27, 2020 Both are commemorative medals. First personalized one is to pay tribute to W. for 20 years of service in the Heidelberg volunteer fire department. Second one from 13. Koeniglich Bayerisches (Bavarian) Infanterie Regiment "Franz Joseph" was relaesed on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Regiment in 1906.
