Parachute wing issued to me in 1981. After completing the course I went to the units Q store and signed out all the wings the store had, a total of two wings! One I gave to a fellow course member the other I glued a safety pin to the back so I could have a wing for every uniform.
Later I went to a militaria dealer and bought Some British copy wings to wear.

Nice collection and thanks for sharing these photographs of the different variants of New Zealand paratrooper wings. Here is what I have in my collection which I guess are now obsolete New Zealand paratrooper wings and a pair of New Zealand SAS paratrooper wings.

.Yes in fact all of these wings are obsolete, but you can still find the service dress worn. The current S.A.S. Wing has changed slightly as well. I’ll post some pics soon.

Here are a few of the New Zealand Parachute wings I picked up in 1977 while I was there. The US unit I was in at the time was working with the NZ Army at Waiouru Military Camp on the North Island. When I got a two day pass, I took the opportunity to visit at Papakura where the NZ SAS was located. I managed to pick up a few wings and badges there. Had a great time and before departing I was presented the plaque as shown below. It was a great trip, fantastic people and wonderful country. I would love to go back one day.
