SARGE Posted November 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 12, 2020 Gents, I thought I would show an interesting equipment box that was worn on the police belt. I was not certain what this box was supposed to contain when I found it while rooting through a pile of leather goods on a military show table but I saw the Prussian Police stamp inside the lid and bought it anyway. It turns out that this is a box worn on the belt of Traffic Policemen (Verkehrspolizei) to contain their ticket book, pencils, templates, papers, etc. This box left their hands free to direct traffic or deal with other matters while having their essential equipment secured to their belt. An interesting and obscure piece of personal equipment.
