Cote_2006 Posted November 28, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 28, 2020 Hey all, does anyone know why or how common it may of been to have a standard issue K98 bayonet with a parade scabbard? I can tell it’s a parade scabbard because of the two lines on the hook for the frog. The bayonet itself is an asw 1943 production one. The scabbard also has no serial number. SARGE Posted November 29, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 29, 2020 A standard issue S84/98 bayonet for the K98k rifle should have matching serial numbers on the blade and scabbard top. Some will not however. A picture of your bayonet and scabbard would help us better answer your question.
