Here is a WWII Rhodesian Air Force pilot's brevet with a matched pair of Rhodesia nationality titles above. The device below the wing is a Royal South African Air Force Cap badge from WWII. Again, these brevets are REALLY tough to find. Allan A

Kia kaha Posted January 25, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted January 25, 2021 Thanks, the original owner of the jacket wore R.A.F. Wings during the Second World War, and had more medals than what is on his later Rhodesian Air Force uniform. He served as a Squadron Leader in the Volunteer Reserve during the Bush War, retired in 1981.

Allan H. Posted January 27, 2021 Share #7 Posted January 27, 2021 Really nice post WWII uniform! Thanks for sharing it. The small RAF brevet looks a lot like what I have seen come out of North Africa and India during the war. It is a great piece. I assume that it is a miniature size? Allan The size of this wing is approximately 100mm x 50mm or 4 x 2 inches, and I believe it was worn on a Khaki Drill uniform in North Africa and Italy Tony
