I thought I would post one of my Helmet to see how the picture come out.

Nice lid Sal, the photos are o.k. but you might want to open them up a little, I have the same problem sometimes because I use my Android Maxx 2 because I'm too cheap to buy a camera.But here are a few photos of my IJA lid, and like you this is the first time I'm posting photos from my new P.C., I've been using a tablet for two years.

Excellent helmets, here’s my relic hard to find Japanese helmets here in New Zealand not many came back this way.

The star was most likely painted yellow post war

Nice Helmet! I like the brush strokes around the helmet. My Son has most of my collection but I have one also with  brush strokes..

This one is kind of hard to read due to the bends in the material and the wear but I believe it is Murogaki 室垣

I took a good look at the characters and I think you are correct!
