For my 2nd post on the WMF I wanted to share with you this wonderfull mint Bleu Horizon Mle 1915 tunic from a french Lieutenant of the 297e Infantry Regiment. With his WW1 aviator boots really often wear by the french officers during the war. On his chest he wear a Legion d'honneur medal and the Croix de Guerre 14 18.

This regiment fought at Verdun from the 23 june to the 30 june around the Thiaumont ouvrage to attempt to take back the famous Douaumont and Vaux Fort.  151 of them had been killed during this action 660 had been injuried and 180 were MIA. At the end of the war they had registred 8000 KIA.
