I Hate Moths

This Royal Canadian Air force Greatcoat came out of Winnipeg Manitoba  about 15 years ago. I still can't believe how cheap the shipping was to South West Pa.

While it is dated to 1942, i am not sure if it was of WWII issue.

Looks like a wartime issue "Other Ranks" greatcoat to me.  I see no issues with it being civilian or post war.  For another tell, check the buttons, if King's Crown (Tudor) instead of Queen's Crown (St. Edwards) then that should also indicate wartime use.  I have two of these overcoats but for Officers rank.  Living up here in the Northeast I tried one of them on, as an experiment, out in the cold.  The RAF/RCAF knew what they were doing as it was  a very warm coat.

Here is a closeup of a button. On the back they are stamped United-Carr Canada.

Also another label.

You're good.  Definitely a war time RCAF Other Ranks great coat.  In your 2nd photo you can see the RCAF stamp of the Broad Arrow encircled by a "C".  Absolutely no doubts....wartime coat.

Thank you Scarecrow for the help. I have a few more to post. Hopefully they are also genuine WWII.
