I would like to confirm these are originals.  I’m pretty sure they are ok but am not 100%.  Any help would be appreciated.  All are marked, cross has  number 65 on pin.  1st class spange has L21 on pin, 2nd class spange has L/11 on back.

"65" = Klein & Quenzer A. G.  in Idar/Oberstein

"L21 = Gebruder Godet & Co.  in Berlin

"L/11" = Grossmann & Co.  in Wien

According to Jack Angolia in "For Fuhrer and Fatherland Military Awards of the Third Reich".

I will let others comment on their originality but they will probably need a bit more information such as:  Is the IC core magnetic, a closeup of the beading on the IC and some closeup pix of the feet of the eagle on the clasps.

I hope this is helpful.

That is extremely helpful. I know almost nothing about German medals/awards is it supposed to magnetic? These were in a large lot of items I recently purchased.

The center is magnetic.  Here is a close up of the beading, and the eagles feet on both.  It’s as close as I can get with what I have here.

Thanks for the additional photos and info.  Frankly, I had hoped someone more knowledgeable than I am on medals would comment but since no one has I will give you my opinion.

Reproductions have become very good recently but I don't see any red flags except the size of the eagle's feet on the last clasp.  They seem a bit over sized compared with the other Spang.  This can be a bad sign but it may just be the angle of your photo.  Look at them to compare if you will.  Otherwise both clasps seem nicely die struck and aged.  The IC core should be magnetic and you say it is.  The beading looks well done and I see no cracks or flaws so it seems good as well.

I caution you that this is only my opinion but they are consistent with originals I have seen over the years.

Thanks for the feedback,  these were posted on a couple forums for opinions.  I have been told the cross is a good example of original and the clasp 2nd class is also good.  The 1st class clasp has been dubbed a repro, but I’m still comparing it to other real examples I have found and I have yet to see the difference.
