RAF buttons?

Not sure if this is the correct sub forum, if not please move.
 
I believe these to be RAF but what era?
I can find many similar but nothing exact, even tried Livery Buttons Identified website.

Looks like the backmark is J.R. Gaunt Ltd. London. Unfortunately they made buttons over a long period of time, from the late 1800's to the 1970's. Most listings I see have the backmark as J.R. Gaunt and Sons, your's does not have the "& Sons". Those same listings have backmarks without "& Sons" as 1950's/60's. But sometimes backmarks are shortened due to space.

Since the button has the Queen's Crown, most likely made during the reign of the current Queen.
