I have the opportunity to buy this Luftwaffe dagger. This is from an estate, and I would like some opinions on it, as I have little knowledge of German WW2 daggers in general.

I believe this to be a first pattern Luftwaffe dagger. The maker's mark is etched very faintly; David Malsch, Steinbachthud (?), with a stylized bird and #5 below that. Handle is wire wrapped leather (feels like leather).

This one looks like a good early, and inspected, Malsch from what I can see.
