Medal with St. George killing a Nazi dragon? UK & US eagle? What is it?

Boy, while I can't help with an ID . . . that is the coolest thing I've seen in ages! Wish I'd find one at a sale around here! I'd guess it is something commemorative or souvenir or fundraising when American joined the UK in the fight. Thanks for sharing!

This medal was issued in 1941 to raise funds for the British-American Ambulance Corps. The front, with Saint George, was designed by Mario Korbel and the back, with the American Eagle, was designed by Paul Manship.

 

British-American Ambulance Corps were an American volunteer organisiation operating from 1940-1942. It raised funds to purchase and equip medical and dental ambulances for the allied war effort, World War Two.
