It was only much later that I learned that all the extra holes in the shell indicate that it was a wartime Japanese shell used post-war by the Thai military. Thought I'd get some expert opinions here, and also document it for future reference. I can't find any trace of markings inside the shell. I can't say that was done in the Thai re-working process because I just don't know. It's also minus the chin strap rings that you normally see in a Thai re-worked helmet.
