Japanese Helmet Shell with Thai Rework?

I've had my one and only Japanese helmet shell for 20 years or so.  It was only much later that I learned that all the extra holes in the shell indicate that it was a wartime Japanese shell used post-war by the Thai military.  Thought I'd get some expert opinions here, and also document it for future reference.  I can't find any trace of markings inside the shell.   Any and all comments, opinions, and advice on possible restoration efforts are welcome.  Thanks.

Fortunes Of War

Wow!  It looks like literally every rivet was removed from the helmet.  I can't say that was done in the Thai re-working process because I just don't know.  It's also minus the chin strap rings that you normally see in a Thai re-worked helmet.
