TPTS Posted June 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2021 World Militaria Collectors, I hope you are well.I don’t know much about German stuff. But I saw this copper cup and it caught my eye because of the picklehaube shaped helmet. Is this World War l,trench art,or just some cup? Thanks, Taj Patel
Proud Kraut Posted June 3, 2021 Share #2 Posted June 3, 2021 Maybe I´m wrong but although the punching is executed quite detailed the shape of the Pickelhaube does not look like a German WW I one to me. Unfortunately I can´t tell you more about this piece.
TPTS Posted June 3, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted June 3, 2021 What are some features that don’t make it a German picklehaube? Just curious because I don’t know my German stuff. Any idea on what type of helmet it could be?
themick Posted June 4, 2021 Share #4 Posted June 4, 2021 The helmet reminds me of something the British commonwealth nations might have worn, especially how the rear visor sticks out. Steve

Steve +1 . I´m adding two side view pictures of a typical WW I German (Bavarian) PH for comparison.
