Nkomo Posted June 24, 2021 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2021 This is a shirt from the Mexican Federal Police Special Operations Group (Grupo de Operaciones Especiales). These highly trained officers were the premier unit of the Mexican Federal Police. Even though the unit size is classified, it is said to have had roughly 87 men divided into 8 to 12 operators in various places. This unit wass highly trained to do the following things: Hostage rescue Arrest of dangerous criminals Counter-narcotics Counter-terrorism Fight organized crime Furthermore, they trained with various organizations around the world to include the French RAID, Colombian National Police, Spanish GEO, various US governmental agencies, etc. What makes these shirts so rare is several factors which include force size and the fact that these items are controlled by the Mexican government for obvious reasons. This particular shirt belonged to an Oficial (Junior Rank of Officer). Apparently, the Oficial had extensive training as the shirt has the badge of the French RAID, the Spanish GEO, and the Colombian Jungla Comando, and several other Colombian qualification tabs. Unlike other units, the GEO wore their qualifications on the right arm of their shirts and some on their right chest above the pocket. The SSP (Secretaria de la Seguridad Publica) was dissolved in 2013 and replaced by the current CNS police. In other words, this shirt was used somewhere between 2000 and 2013. Ominae Posted August 6, 2021 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2021 Bet these'll be hard to find since Obrador disbanded the PF and turned it into a National Guard unit.
