Dirk Posted July 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2021 Just added this circa 1905 4.7 inch Naval gun by William Britains to the collection. Comes with its original box. It joins a 1915 dated gun and a version with gun shield from the 30’s all by the same company. Link to comment
SARGE Posted July 3, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2021 What a minty gun and complete with the box as well. The box probably saved the condition of the gun. Link to comment
Dirk Posted July 3, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted July 3, 2021 Agree Sarge!….although the box is rather grimy….and am lightly cleaning it and finding the label is yellow Link to comment
Proud Kraut Posted July 3, 2021 Share #4 Posted July 3, 2021 Awesome, a real museum piece, thanks for sharing it here! Link to comment
Proud Kraut Posted July 14, 2021 Share #5 Posted July 14, 2021 Dirk, if you don´t mind I´m adding a similar gun I found recently. Looks like it is a 4.7 inch gun made by Britains as well. Some parts are missing but at least it seems to be operational to "fire" caps. Link to comment
Dirk Posted October 10, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted October 10, 2021 Lars perfect! That one is of later production…post war I think Link to comment
