Found this at an antique store.

It's only about 1.5" X 2.0"

What is it?

I don't know TR stuff at all.

Thanks in advance

Sturmbannführer, assault unit leader. Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class, wound badge, not sure on the other badge or cuff title.  Nice photo.

I think its a General assault badge instead of a panzer assault.

I agree i think it is the general assault. I just looked at my collection compared to the photo. I retract my panzer assault.

Looks like a reenactor photo  to me.

Yes and for such an Old Timer, you would think he would of been in the Great War and had at least a Iron Cross 1914 Ribbon in the button hole and thus the 1939 Clasp.

Very late to add to this thread, but it may be an “old” WWII vet, wearing his WWII uniform for a photo, taken in the 60’s-70’s…??

Not all veterans turned in or denazified their uniforms and equipment after the war.

Leon DeGrelle (sp), though living in Spain, was notorious for wearing his uniform and insignia into his later years. I have also seen similar portraits taken of old veterans in their war regalia.

The stamp on the back however looks fake….
