The lighter is from the 50's.

At first I thought it was the 7th Armored but I can't find any indication that they were in Libya in the 1950's.

After a day of research I have concluded that the Jerboa Club was a bar frequented by oil workers.

The desert rat on the other side is a jerboa.

Nothing to do with the military.
