It took me some time to decipher most of the writing. What we see are in fact pictures of two ceremonies. Both took place on April, 15th 1943. There are some photographs of the morning roll call of 4th company with the last report of the "Spiess" ("letzte Meldung vom HFw") and a speech ("Ansprache") of the old company commander. 2nd ceremony is most likely the muster of a whole battalion. Depicted are the change of command of 4th company to Hauptmann Ringler, the new CC and some promotions.

After a detailed online research I´m pretty sure that the ceremonies took place at Fliegerhorst (air base) Braunschweig-Broitzem. Among many other Wehrmacht, SS and Luftwaffe units, Fallschirm Schule 3 (Airborne School 3) and a Fallschirmjaeger Ersatz- und Ausbildungsbataillon (Airborne Replacement and Training Battalion) were garrisoned in Braunschweig. And I think this is your unit. Once again, great photos.

Thanks  for you generous efforts,I had a little bit figured out....the date and 4th company 😵 hard to decipher looks like bad penmanship............your summation explains one photo that was in the grouping I did not think belonged because of the different branches on the airfield.I would have loved to have the album that got busted that these came from!

Any writing on the back of this picture?

No, it came with the grouping, like I said I have had my doubts about it being a part of it.I got it in a larger grouping of photos. There were also a number of photos that had no relation to the Fallschirmjäger photos.
