I Hate Moths

A war service dress blouse. Made by Blem Clothing Co 1944.  It came out of the estate of Heath Lamberts, a Canadian living in Pittsburgh Pa.  He was an actor on television, movies and theater. The 48th Highlanders jacket that i have also came from his estate.

Very nice jacket, particularly with the Pathfinder badge,  Nice pick up!

Thank you for your comment.  I don't know what you mean by Pathfinder badge, and need to know more.

I had always assumed that it was just a RCAF hat badge.

Thanks

Tom

The badge on the jacket is exactly like an officer’s cap badge. However when displayed on the tunic like yours it means he was a Pathfinder. Since the RAF bombed at night the Pathfinder Force flew ahead of the bomber stream and dropped flares to mark the target. There were a lot less pathfinders than regular bomber aircrew. Hope this helps.
