Jack the Collector Posted July 24, 2021 Share #1 Posted July 24, 2021 This shows a typical mix of different periods of insignia, regs did not seem to be strictly enforced in the Reichsbahn. Here are a couple of Reichsbahn fellows wearing the Wiemar/prewar tunics and tabs and Deutsche Wehrmacht armbands. The fellow in the middle is wearing Pay group 5 and higher collar tabs, but no shoulder boards. He is wearing the passant that were used foe a very short time. For a lo at some and info use the link. SARGE Posted July 28, 2021 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2021 It is rare to see photos of the Passants in wear. Most were discarded after the insignia change.

Jack the Collector Posted July 30, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted July 30, 2021 I misspoke in my previous post,as I get older my brain gets softer😉 I went forth and dug out mt file and here are the fact of the passant.July 3, 1941 the passants were introduced instead of the old form shoulder boards. Later in November 1943 the old shoulder boards were re-introduced again. The passants were hardly able to be delivered and for that reason the shoulder-straps came back.
