Can anyone help me identify this knife?

Hello All,

I am very new to this but was referred to this site by a gentleman in bladesforum.com. He said there was more knowledge here than anywhere else out there. I found this knife and needed help identifying it. I can’t find anything anywhere. Any help you might be able to give would be awesome!

It looks like the "CAA" on the blade stands for "Couteau des Armées Alliées". There's a photo of a nice with similar engraving on another forum, just click here.

"Couteau des Armées Alliées" translates on Google to "Knife of the Allied Armies".

 

Doing some reading on sites, there was discussion about this on a Spanish knife collecting forum. It seems that quite a few collectors spent a lot of time on a knife that sounds just like yours (sadly, this was back in 2010 and photos are now missing). Their guess was that this was sold as a souvenir from France. The various things on your knife look very similar to Boy Scout knives of the period. 

This is a translated quote of the Spanish Forum response:

As you may already know, this type of knife was never made by the Swiss or French Army, much less by the Allied Armies during World War II. However, there are several sources that indicate that American soldiers, once the war was over, bought large quantities of Victorinox and Wenger to take with them as a souvenir of their stay in Europe. My opinion is that some clever French manufacturer produced this knife taking advantage of the demand that was at that time.

 

The key to the manufacturer would seem to be the "P.B.H.", but I've not been able to find anything that might be. Hope someone else here may be able to help more. Very neat piece!
