Help requested dating German pre-K55K Cat Kat knife. Just marked "GERMANY"

I picked this up this morning at the local military show.

It looks to be unmarked except for "GERMANY" on the blade.

Nothing on the back strap or sides.

Any help pinning down the knifes age will be greatly appreciated.
