Another kiddie sword but this one British

Gents,

Here is another small kid sword but this one is British pattern.  It is a Cavalry Officer sword with a gilt basket hilt but the end of the guard at the spine of the blade is broken off.  This children's sword has a mild steel blade with a rounded point so the kid's mother would not tell him not to put his eye out with it.  The rolled tin scabbard has two suspension rings and is complete with leather hangers and a belt.  The split leather black belt has an interlocking metal lion head gilt buckle in the British style.

Another kid toy for the little soldier

Wow! Toy swords have really come down these days . . . Seriously, though . . . this is amazing! What era, do you know? Also, approx. length? Just curious!  Love it! It would look amazing hanging on a wall!

Here is the British sword shown next to the Austrian kinder sword for scale.  The British version is about 24" overall in the scabbard.

Yes, probably circa 1900.  Certainly made before WWI judging by the manufacturing techniques and overall look of the sword style.

Of course it is hard to tell with toys just when they were manufactured.  I suspect these were made over a long period of time.
