I actually bought one of these at my grade school playground when I was a kid. I paid either $5 or $10, which was a lot of money when your allowance was 50 cents a week. The seller's Dad had brought them home from the war, and he was looking to cash in. He had two smaller eagles that would have gone on headgear, but I didn't have any more cash to play with. The one I did buy is long gone. If it is real and you paid $5, you did well. I've seen them go for $75 to $125. If you get a chance, post the reverse side so our experts can take a look.
