Helmet Steel MkII raw edge New Zealand

Helmet as issued early in World War Two 1939-40. This has the Mk 1 liner, most of these we’re later upgraded to Mk II liners and the MIII chinstrap of elasticised cotton in the 1950s decade and used during N.Z.s Compulsory Military Training period.

hessian covers made during W.W.II, the green dyed was originally for use in the Pacific area and was used upto the 1970s, the khaki version was used in N. Z. Upto the 1960s

Great helmet Tony I will have to post up my Camo NZ Mk II with multiple covers as time permits the hessian jungle green and  khaki covers are now getting tough to find which has driven the price up considerably...
