(PTY ) LTD, ( South African Pith Helmet Industries Ltd ). They were manufactured in three different sizes small, medium and large it is sporting a soldier 2000 camouflage cover which was developed by CSIR-Textile Technology Group, this pattern was first introduced and field tested between 1991-1993 and seen large scale distribution to SADF troops in 1994... Mark K Posted December 3, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted December 3, 2021 Great helmet love the cover not a variation I have ever seen before, Two additional types of camouflage were developed specifically for 32 Battalion, utilizing the same drawings as the earlier pattern, and designated Pattern 2. A summer version or "wet season" which incorporated dark brown, russet & green on a pale green background, whilst a winter version or "dry season" featured dark brown, nutria & green on a light brown background.
