IJN officer's sword belt?

The only marking that I can find is shown. Is this Japanese? I've owned it for many years, only it's been lost in my office until tonight.

Nice variation Navy sword belt. This Sam Brown style was worn in the field and preferred by NLF as well as navy land based troops. Some believe this to be a late war variation
