I’ve had this small parachute pin in the box for years.  Can any one ID this one.  It’s small about 1 1/4 inches (3mm)in height.  Any thoughts or observations will be appreciated.

It is a WW2 era Free Polish paratrooper collar pin.  It is usually pinned through a kite shape multi sections piece of varying colored felt denoting infantry or other specialties.  There are a lot of copies of these out on the collector's market but your piece looks genuine.  Below are photos of a pair of collar badges alongside their paratrooper wing and a wartime photo of a Free Polish paratrooper.

Tonomachi, thank you.  You never know what’s lying around, right under your nose.  No matter how long I collect this stuff or how much I learn there is always more to learn.

thank you for sharing your knowledge.
