Captured Iraqi Camo Flak Binoculars

When I first saw and bought these, I thought they were WWII German. But then getting them they were smaller than anything I had seen. So I did a search with the 3 letter maker code and nothing WWII German came up... Great older camo but maybe Polish or Russian or DDR, and in fact the bottoms have "moisture trap" in English. (WTH?) No one had any idea.

So then I asked the guy I got them from - and it got even better! He was a 13F with C co 3rd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and they took them from a spotter's nest on the Haditha Dam area in Iraq when OIF was kicking off. It was during one of the only recent airborne missions Ranger regiment has done. They were taking heavy mortar fire once they hit the ground. He along with weapons squad of 3rd Platoon rushed the nest and then used it to provide cover fires for the rest of the platoon. Once the mission was over they decided to rip them off the dam as a memento.

Cool!
