Old Marine Posted January 12, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2022 This is the old Tamiya British Universal Carrier. It’s an old kit, but it still makes a good model. The figures are from Miniart.
Proud Kraut Posted January 12, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 12, 2022 Very nice Carrier, Dennis! Painting of the vehicle and the figures and the weathering are outstanding. Well done! Lars P.S.: Did you know that the Bundeswehr was about to introduce this vehicle for different branches in 1956? Fortunately it didn´t happen. ArtyScout Posted January 12, 2022 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2022 Excellent work Dennis. Your weathering of this vehicle and the figures are great. What I always notice about your models is the extra stuff that throws it over the top and brings that sense of humanity and realism to it, i.e: the gas cans, the camo netting, Lee-Enfield rifles, the first aid kit and especially the tarp. Put a Saharan desert background and this model will come to life. BTW I like the Desert Rats decals. Semper Fi. Manny
The Meatcan Posted January 13, 2022 Share #5 Posted January 13, 2022 Very cool Dennis! Your figures are always so expressive! Terry
Old Marine Posted January 13, 2022 Author Share #6 Posted January 13, 2022 Thanks for the comments. That’s pretty interesting about the Bundeswher considering using the carriers. But, it’s not surprising, post war they seem to have been as plentiful as US jeeps. I have seen photos of these being used by just about every army all over the world.
