Historybuff00 Posted January 23, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2022 Person selling this only had the back of the badge picture. I’m assuming due to front showing a Swazika. Now wondering by just looking at the back. Can you tell if it’s authentic? I’ll try and get the front photo. Thanks. They’re Selling it for $55. Rakkasan187 Posted January 24, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 24, 2022 I would be skeptical of buying anything without seeing the front image as well. The Maker Mark "30" is for the firm: Hauptmünzamt, Am Heumarkt 1, Wien III/40,,, HOWEVER, on original 30 marked wound badges the number 30 is larger and towards the bottom where the clasp is located. Is this a Zinc or Tombac Silver badge? The stamped 30 on this particular badge is also upside down as it should be towards the clasp end in the other direction.. I don't like the looks of this particular piece. Just my thoughts.. Best regards, stay safe Leigh
