SteveB Posted January 26, 2022 Share #5 Posted January 26, 2022 I always think the shoulder tags would make a good collection, it would never end but they are relatively cheap. Not doing it though, too many other offshoots already in play. Tag is part of the Air Defense Command - Air Defense Array. Steve.

Boy Howdy Posted February 25, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted February 25, 2022 Some more IDF badges. I think: top left Naval Intelligence Ships and Subs top center Landing Craft (?) top right Southern Command Givati Infantry bottom Navy Patrol boat
SteveB Posted February 27, 2022 Share #8 Posted February 27, 2022 HI, yes all Israeli Top left is 663rd Unit - Shipyard Intelligence (not sure what that really means, it's a literal translation) Top center is Givati Infantry brigade qualification pin, this I believe is the earlier type, it was replaced by the top right and are awarded to soldiers passing the full Givati training course. Bottom, is for sailors serving on the Dabur-class patrol boat Do you collect this type of badges, I have some if you are interested. This is the best site for identifying IDF badges https://allbadges.net/en/search/1 it's an Israeli site for world wide badges, but has a large Israeli section. Its difficult to navigate and a bit glitchy (search function doesn't work well), I always find I learn more as I'm searching, for example the Givati badge I knew it was Givati but wanted to make double sure, I had to click through about 200 badges before I found it. Boy Howdy Posted February 27, 2022 Author Share #9 Posted February 27, 2022 Wow! Thank you very much for your extra effort doing this research. I don't collect these pins per se, but couldn't pass these up for the price.
