I need help to id this jacket

[I Hate Moths]

I think the jacket is WWII vintage, but not sure.  It is stamped Andre Marseille.   The buttons are navy, and made by T. W. & W. Paris.

Please help me with the origin of this jacket.

The patch with the Cross of Lorraine is that of the French 2nd Armoured Division, I believe,  though the button appears to be French Navy possibly Naval Marines.

Thank you #6. I knew that the patch was the Cross of Lorraine, but not that it was used by the French 2nd Armoured Division. The buttons are clearly navy.

Can you fill me in on the red chevron ?

Régiment Blindé de Fusiliers-Marins was a Tank Destroyer unit in the French 2nd Armored Division in WWII.

 

This coat, a Pea Coat???? what is it's true color? Looks field grey.

It's a French rank chevron I think, not my strong point though. I have seen green French Army jackets of the same cut, if that helps.

ceci est pour moi un manteau infanterie coloniale car la division leclerc etait compose de regiment coloniaux, et le chevron est celui de 1er classe
