Preppy Picker Posted February 15, 2022 #1 Posted February 15, 2022 This is one of those instances where education got me a good deal. Everyone at the auction thought it was an artillery visor. Hammer price 360.00 I need an officer chin cord and buttons if anyone wants to help me out. More pictures tomorrow
Preppy Picker Posted February 18, 2022 Author #3 Posted February 18, 2022 Thanks Shep, I have to get it out of its hiding place and see who the maker is. It’s also named to a doctor. I promise to get more photos.
Fortunes Of War Posted February 18, 2022 #4 Posted February 18, 2022 Preppy Picker- That's a nice pick up! I'm still looking for an honest Chaplain's visor.
Preppy Picker Posted February 18, 2022 Author #5 Posted February 18, 2022 FOW, I am not a very discriminating collector and tend go after anything that is not reproduction. But putting that aside I used to have a Cav and Art NCO M36 jackets and boy do I want them back unfortunately they have disappeared. Good luck to us both in our hunt.

Fortunes Of War Posted February 19, 2022 #8 Posted February 19, 2022 Preppy Picker- I'll be sure to keep you posted. I have not seen a legitimate example of the chaplain's visor in quite some time.

patches Posted February 22, 2022 #13 Posted February 22, 2022 Very nice, real nice. It could also been a cap for a General Staff Officer, they shared the same Waffenfarbe with Veterinary units, Carmine Red.

This one is named to a Doctor so I believe it stands a better chance of being veterinarian. But it could be General staff. Thank you for your comment.
