I believe that is the correct term for a helmet. 

 

This one has has severe heat damage.  A little misshapen but everything is still there. Barring 3 out of 4 split pins to hold the visor on, so I do have an example to work with.  Also missing it's silver & or copper details. 

 

Not a lot of metalworking.  Main thing iscto not breakecthe split pins that hold the detail pieces on.

Neat.  It does look like the bits and bobs fasteners are mostly handmade.  Missing the wings on the front piece but the sockets appear to be there.  

 

Any history?

I think think I can bring it back. Maybe not traditionally but at least visually. 

 

Sellers father brought it back from Japan...when, don't really know.
