Yes, a nice looking old relic Austro-Hungarian carbine.  Made by OEWG and proof marked in 1871 (Wn.71).  Also made in 1871 according to the "871" markings on the side plate.  

 

I rather like these old uncleaned and un-messed with relics that show their age.

I don't have a good handle on the value of these rifles in "as found" condition but it is higher than one that has been "cleaned" prior to sale IMHO.  Look on gun auction sites such as gunbroker for finished auctions and see what they actually bring... not their asking price.
