German pocket hanger?

I saw a similar design on a patch on eBay…. 263rd bn. 26th airborne brigade ??
 

Can anyone tell me when this was used or is it still being used.  This is not my area of collecting and will probably list it for sale.. any idea of value?

It´s indeed the pocket hanger (Internes Verbandsabzeichen) of Fallschirmjaegerbataillon 263 (263rd Airborne Bn). These pocket hangers were introduced in 1980. The unit was activ until 2015. In general pocket hangers of this Bn are common and will go for about 5,- Euro (USD 5,50) over here. Different variations of the insignia do exist. Your variant with narrow chute is a little bit rarer.  My guess would be it could sell for about 10,- - 15,- Euro (USD 11 - 17) over here.

 

FschJgBtl 263 was part of Luftlandebrigade 26. For your interest I´m attaching a picture of machine and hand embroidered SSI of this Brigade.
