johnny12550 Posted March 8, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2022 What are the opinions on this Anti Partisan Badge. It looks good to me, but what do you guys think? Pics Pics Pics Pic
Gwar Posted March 8, 2022 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2022 Soft detail and heavily faked, I would consider passing on this one.
SARGE Posted March 8, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 8, 2022 I am afraid I don't like the fact that the snake heads are not cut out. I don't care for the pin and catch either. It would not be for me.
johnny12550 Posted March 8, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted March 8, 2022 Thanks For the info. I didn’t buy it. It was at a coin dealers shop. I bought several 1930s Silver Stars, Purple Hearts, etc…. I also bought a DLV hat badge. That one is legit. I thought the Anti Partisan Badge was good, but I’m no expert on these badges. I know they are highly reproduced. S.ChrisKelly Posted May 5, 2023 Share #5 Posted May 5, 2023 In my experience, 98.6% (or likely close to all of them) of the Bandenkampfabzeichen (Anti-partisan war badge) in all three grades were struck in zinc, not surprising considering the badge was established in 1944. The reproductions are generally of much higher quality metallurgy. The badge is a reproduction, and it's a really good one. They're usually advertised as "museum quality" reproductions and can get pricey.
