This was a bring back from WWII.  Was purchased in Poland for 2 cartons of Lucky's. I wanted to know info on the pistol.  I'm fairly certain it's not military issue. Thanks for any help on proofs or year. Barrel and frame have mismatched serial numbers.

I am pretty sure it is a luger from the great war, A Prussian made, I believe those markings with the crown proof stamps are Prussian.

It looks like a "Frankenstein" with mixed parts to me.  It has a commercial Crown/N marked toggle assembly and military proofed Crown/letter small parts.  It has mixed serial numbers so these parts were put together to make a Luger.  It is not Prussian military issue because there are no firing or acceptance markings on the chamber.

At best it is a "shooter" rather than a collectible military or commercial P.08 IMHO.

HELLO, OTTER42. IS THERE A CHANCE TO GET THE SERIAL NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL? ALSO IS THERE A SIMILAR CROWN over N ON THE BARREL LIKE THE ONE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RECEIVER ? I THINK I MAY BE ABLE TO ELABORATE A BIT MORE ON WHAT YOU HAVE.  THANKS, BEST.   T BIRD
