Broomhandle Pistol… German Mauser used by Chinese

Here is a Mauser Broomhandle that dates to the late 1930’s.  I’ve had it a few years but never shot it.  The shoulder stock, I believe, is a reproduction.

The left side says in Chinese “Made In Germany”.  The right side shows a few Chinese characters that I was told translate to “fourth group”.  (I posted this marking along with some characters on a cotton cloth name tag/badge in an attempt to get it translated.. sorry for a double post).

Also shown is a Chinese picture book that appears to outline their efforts during the war.

Thanks, Rich.

I’d like to see about getting the Chinese characters translated.  Right now I have a few CCP items displayed with it.. the characters could be Nationalist China KMT.
