triplecanopy Posted April 21, 2022 #1 Posted April 21, 2022 Most of the older Canadian Cap Badges I have can be identified with unit or other emblazoned lettering. This one has only a large Star in a wreath of maple leaves topped by a King's Crown. Can anyone ID this for me? Thanks
Allan H. Posted April 21, 2022 #2 Posted April 21, 2022 I know that the Cameronians wore a large star above the title "CAMERONIANS" in WWI, but the badge didn't have a wreath. There was eventually a wreath and a hunting horn added to their cap badge, but I don't recall a crown at the top. I would guess that it has something to do with the regiment. Allan
triplecanopy Posted April 21, 2022 Author #3 Posted April 21, 2022 Thanks Allan, I did not know that you were also into Canadian badges. Here is the only CAMERONIAN Badge I currently have. When I was in Canada back in the 1980's I had the opportunity to pick up quite a few of their older badges. I have traded off many of them but was having trouble ID'ing the one with just a large star. Thanks for your insight. All the best!

The Cameronians were a completely different regiment. Allan
triplecanopy Posted April 30, 2022 Author #5 Posted April 30, 2022 Thanks Allan, I will make a note. I am a bit rusty on my older Canadian badges.
