Salvage Sailor Posted April 29, 2022 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2022 Prairial is a Floréal-class frigate (French: frégate de surveillance) of the French Navy. She is the second ship of the class, and the second French warship named after the ninth month of the Republican Calendar. The ship was constructed by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire, France, in 1992 and entered service in 1993. Prairial is stationed in the French Pacific territories for patrol duties. Aloha Everyone, The photos were taken in 2007 when the PRIARIAL came up from Tahiti (Papeete) to visit Honolulu. While touring the frigate, one was engulfed with the scent of fresh Baguettes being baked for the crew which they get twice daily. She was a very happy vessel...I saw her again a few years later in Papeete, her home port.
